Job summary

Key West Historic Inns Collection seeks an experienced Director of Engineering to lead the engineering operations across its boutique hotel group in Key West. You will oversee preventive maintenance, life safety, capital projects, vendor management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance while developing a high-performing team and protecting asset value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive Engineering or Facilities leadership experience, preferably in hotels or similar properties.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, life safety systems and building disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all Engineering functions (preventive maintenance, building systems, life safety, capital projects, vendor management, budgeting).
• Lead and develop the Engineering team while partnering with hotel leadership to ensure safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
• Balance long-term planning with hands-on daily operations to preserve historic character and ensure high-level performance across properties.
