Hylan Group is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead HYLAN’s national engineering and preconstruction organization for ISP data center infrastructure delivery. You will oversee engineering operations, standards, development, and preconstruction support while ensuring consistency and scalability across regional teams.

You will work with operations, project management, estimating, procurement, and executives to drive pursuits and execution across hyperscale, enterprise, and mission critical

Competenze

• 7+ years engineering, design, or preconstruction in data centers.
• 5+ years leading engineering, BIM, or design teams.
• Strong ISP infrastructure delivery knowledge in hyperscale environments.
• Experience with structured cabling, fiber, rack/stack, conveyance, and testing.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience creating engineering standards, workflows, and docs.
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
• PMP, PE, or related certifications preferred (BICSI RCDD, DCDC).

Mansioni

• Lead and develop a national team of engineers, BIM personnel, designers, and preconstruction staff.
• Establish standardized engineering processes, drawing standards, and workflows.
• Oversee engineering and design for ISP scopes: cabling, fiber, rack/stack, conveyance.
• Support concept design, constructability reviews, and technical scope alignment.
• Develop and maintain national engineering standards and best practices.
• Review drawings, specs, and customer requirements for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate deliverables and support proposal development for pursuits.
• Partner with operations to validate constructability and field methods.
• Collaborate with estimating and procurement on scope and materials.
• Support engineering training, metrics, and regional handoffs.
• Assist leadership with staffing and strategic planning; other duties as assigned.
