About the Role

Trutech Group have partnered with a renowned cloud transformation company that are searching for a Director of Engineering to come in and hit the ground running. This position will require you to be hands-on and lead the engineering teams responsible for scaling their core product to support key customers and driving monetisation through experimentation-led growth.

Key Responsibilities

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with 5 years leading teams in areas such as product growth, infrastructure, and platform development.
• Experienced in driving zero-to-one engineering initiatives—defining technical strategy, launching new features, and iterating rapidly based on feedback.
• Track record of fostering engineering cultures focused on velocity and measurable business impact, while effectively partnering with peers and executive stakeholders.
• Proven success in scaling high-performing engineering teams, with experience coaching both engineers and managers through periods of rapid growth.
• Strong cross-functional collaborator, adept at aligning technical solutions with product objectives to build reliable and efficient systems.
• Deep expertise in developer experience, system performance optimization, and making pragmatic tradeoffs to support scalability and usability.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on distributed systems, as well as monetisation and billing platforms
• Familiar with infrastructure tooling, developer platforms, or SaaS ecosystems
• Background in building developer tools and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solutions
• Compensation: Starting base salary of up to $370,000 USD.
• Time Off: 4 weeks of paid vacation, available from your first day.
