You will oversee core backend services for video delivery, subscriber identity, authentication, entitlements, and commerce integrations across web, mobile, connected TV, and partner ecosystems.

Director of Streaming Platform Engineering

Location: Burbank, CA or Kansas City, MO or Centennial, CO or NYC or Chicago, IL

Work from home: Hybrid – 1 -3 days onsite

Day-to-Day:

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Streaming Platform Engineering to lead the strategy, architecture, delivery, and operational excellence of a large-scale consumer streaming and membership platform. This individual will oversee the core backend services that power video delivery, subscriber identity, authentication, entitlements, commerce integrations, rewards experiences, personalization, and cloud infrastructure across web, mobile, connected TV, and partner ecosystems. On a day-to-day basis, they will lead teams of platform, backend, cloud, and DevOps engineers while driving technical roadmaps, platform modernization initiatives, reliability improvements, and cloud optimization efforts. They will partner closely with Product, Architecture, Security, Data, QA, Content Operations, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available solutions that support subscriber growth and customer engagement. This person will also establish engineering standards, advance developer productivity through automation and self-service tooling, improve platform observability and operational readiness, and help shape the long-term technology strategy for the streaming platform.
