Job summary

A community hospital in San Antonio, Texas, is seeking a Director ER to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care through unit oversight and strategic planning. The role entails managing a 200+ bed facility with an expansion, guiding the Emergency Department staffing, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's in Nursing and have substantial experience in Emergency Department leadership. A robust bonus incentive program and sign-on bonus are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 1+ years of recent Director level Emergency Department experience is required, may consider a very strong manager.
• 3+ years of recent Emergency Department experience is required.
• Metrics/accomplishments should be visible on resume.

Overview

Community hospital looking to bring on Director ER! Bonus Incentive Program, Sign-On Bonus and Full Relocation!

Ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the unit in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. Fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives.

Responsibilities

• 200+ bed facility & will add another 78-bed expansion Q1 2027
• 50 ER Beds
• 2 managers
• Need director to continue to move forward, accountability, need strong presence
• Acuity level: a lot of EMS volume – bringing acute – critical patients
• EMR: Meditech

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in nursing Required
• Master\'s Degree Preferred
• 1+ years of recent Director level Emergency Department experience Required, may consider a very strong manager.
