BKV Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the local practice, direct multidisciplinary project delivery, and mentor staff. This hybrid leadership role will sign and seal deliverables, set electrical standards, and collaborate on business development.

You will report to the VP of Engineering, oversee local discipline teams, manage project budgets, and ensure compliance with NFPA and energy codes across commercial, multi-family, or civic projects.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10 to 15 years of progressive electrical engineering design and leadership experience within the built environment (commercial, multi-family, or civic projects).
• Expert knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and Energy Codes (ASHRAE/IECC); working knowledge of IBC, NFPA 72 (Fire Alarm), NFPA 101 (Life Safety), and NFPA 110 (Emergency Power).
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams, directing project budgets, presenting to executive clients, and resolving interdisciplinary coordination challenges.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Senior Electrical Engineer on projects; sign and seal deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams on power, lighting, and life-safety systems.
• Manage workloads, project assignments, and scheduling for local electrical staff; monitor revenue goals and budgets.
• Partner on workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, reviews, and promotion pathways.
• Oversee development of discipline design details, BIM standards, and QA/QC procedures.
• Support proposal development, fee estimations, client presentations, and growth goals.
