Job summary

Green Thumb is seeking a Director of Product Development - Edibles to lead the Edibles product development team from concept to commercialization. This role owns the product development process end-to-end: translating product briefs into winning formulations, building and running a sensory sampling and evaluation process, vetting new ingredients, and developing product specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Culinary Science, Chemistry, or related field.
• Master’s degree or PhD strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in CPG or food/beverage.
• Hands-on formulation and sensory evaluation experience.
• Strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end edibles product development from ideation to commercialization.
• mentor and develop the edibles product development team.
• Translate briefs into formulations; oversee sensory sampling and evaluation.
• Vet ingredients and suppliers for flavor, safety, cost and reliability.
• Own product specifications and collaborate with Implementation for scale-up.
• Oversee test kitchen and manage regulatory compliance and quality.
