Job summary

Green Thumb Industries (GTI) seeks a Director of Food Science & Product Development - Edibles to lead the edibles product development team from concept to commercialization. You will own the end-to-end process, translate briefs into formulations, build a sensory evaluation program, vet new ingredients, and develop product specifications for high-quality output.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Culinary Science, Chemistry, or related field.
10+ years of leadership experience in food/CPG product development.
Hands-on formulation and sensory evaluation experience.
Familiarity with FDA and OSHA regulations.
Ability to lead global cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the company’s new product strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
Drive innovation and development to meet market demands.
Translate briefs into formulations and manage ingredient direction and cost.
Lead, mentor, and develop the edibles PD team.
Oversee testing, specification development, and scale-up with Implementation team.
