Job summary

Qualifications

• Masters or terminal degree in law, counseling, rehabilitation, psychology, education, public health, medicine, or related field.
• Eligibility for faculty appointment within the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine.
• Familiarity with medical school technical standards, clinical training environments, simulation-based education, and testing accommodations.
• Experience managing sensitive, complex, and confidential accommodation cases.
• Excellent consultation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Commitment to fostering access and opportunity in the academic environment.
• On-site presence on WSU Spokane Health Sciences campus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as institutional leader for disability access and accommodations in the medical education program.
• Oversee accommodation processes for medical students and advise on disability-related policy matters.
• Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and clinical partners to promote equitable access across learning environments.
• Provide leadership for learning support initiatives via the Student Learning Center, including peer tutoring and workshops.
• Contribute to strategic planning, policy formation, and continuous quality improvement related to access and learner support.
