Washington State University invites applications for the role of Director of Disability Resources and Learning Support in the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, located on the Spokane campus.

The director leads disability access, supports accommodations, and partners with faculty and administration to ensure equitable learning environments for medical students. The role also oversees the Student Learning Center programs, including tutoring and academic support, and contributes to strategic

Qualifications

• Masters or terminal degree in law, counseling, rehabilitation, psychology, education, public health, medicine, or other field given context of work experience and/or other qualifications.
• Experience with medical education standards, disability accommodations, and testing accommodations.
• On-site presence on WSU Spokane Health Sciences campus.

Responsibilities

• Provide institutional leadership for disability access and accommodations within the medical education program.
• Oversee accommodation processes for medical students and advise leaders on disability-related policy matters.
• Partner with faculty, administrators, and clinical partners to promote equitable access in classroom, lab, simulation, assessment, and clinical learning environments.
• Provide leadership for learning support initiatives within the Student Learning Center (SLC), including tutoring and workshops.
