Culinary Services Group in Charlevoix, MI is hiring a FOOD SERVICE DIRECTOR to lead daily foodservice operations across production, budgeting, procurement, and client engagement. You will mentor salaried and hourly staff while ensuring HACCP standards and cost controls to meet client expectations.

The role requires strong leadership, P&L accountability, and a track record of building high-performing teams in senior care, hospital, or behavioral health settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or AA degree with related food service experience.
• Five to seven years in foodservice operations management with budgeting and inventory control.
• Strong knowledge of food trends, quality, sanitation, and cost controls.
• Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience preferred.
• Excellent supervisory and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily foodservice operations including production and service.
• Lead budgeting, procurement, and reporting using company systems.
• Direct supervision of managers and hourly staff; hire, train, and evaluate.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Engage with clients to ensure satisfaction and continuous improvement.
