Job summary

Healthcare Nursing Center is seeking a Director of Dining Services to oversee daily operations of our dining program, plan menus, and manage a team of cooks, servers, and staff to deliver high-quality service.

You will develop resident-focused menus, ensure regulatory compliance, monitor costs, and collaborate with other departments to provide seamless dining experiences.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in culinary management, healthcare setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality/culinary degree preferred.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of dining services, including menu planning and service delivery.

Director of Dining Services

Director of Dining Services Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the dining services department, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery
• Manage a team of cooks, servers, and other dining staff to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction
• Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents and patients
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and minimize conflicts
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities to team members
• Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations

Director of Dining Services Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in a culinary management role, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field preferred
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation protocols and regulations
