Job summary

The Department of Local Government Finance seeks an Information Systems Director to lead the Information Systems Division, shape the digital operations strategy, and drive modernization across the agency. You will coordinate cross-departmental stakeholders and oversee software functionality across all DL GF applications.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of information technology, information security, project management, and business management.
• Ability to bridge technology and business goals to provide productive solutions.
• 5+ years of experience in Computer Science or Information Technology in a similar role.
• Ability to negotiate complex agreements with agencies, divisions, and outside vendors.
• Effective communication skills and ability to frame technical issues based on policy implications.
• Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, manage workflow, and develop employee skillsets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Information Systems Division and develop digital operations strategy.
• Lead teams to ensure functionality of all DLGF software applications.
• Manage modernization efforts, evaluate legacy systems, and plan integrations.
• Coordinate cross-departmental stakeholders and represent DLGF interests in the Indiana Gateway portal.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation.
• Guide staff through process changes and technology adoption.
