Job summary

Collin College Frisco Campus seeks a Program Director for Diagnostic Medical Sonography to lead and manage the DMS program. The role focuses on curriculum development, clinical affiliations, faculty leadership, and budget oversight to ensure exceptional student outcomes.

The director will collaborate with the Academic Dean, maintain accreditation standards, and drive program marketing and strategic planning. Teaching one course per year and mentoring staff are included in responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; three years of experience as a registered sonographer.
• Experience teaching in a community college or university; proficiency in instructional methodologies and assessment.
• Texas license or eligibility for licensure; CPR/BLS certification; credentialed as a Registered Sonographer (General, Abdomen/OB-Gyn).

Responsibilities

• Manage the diagnostic medical sonography program in collaboration with the Dean of Health Sciences.
• Oversee staffing, budgeting, curriculum development, and program marketing.
• Supervise faculty and staff; recruit, advise, and support students; maintain program records and accreditation documents.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with THECB, SACSCOC, and JRDMS accreditation standards.
• Attend professional development and participate in college service activities.
