Collin College is seeking a Program Director for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program to manage operations, maintain regulatory compliance, and guide curriculum development in alignment with THECB and SACSCOC standards.

The role includes staffing, budgeting, faculty supervision, advising, and program marketing, with teaching one class per year and collaboration with the Dean of Health Sciences. A strong background in sonography education and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field is required.
• Demonstrated community college or university teaching experience and proficiency in instructional methodologies, evaluation, curriculum development, and assessment is required.
• Preferred: Master's degree in related field and two (2) years supervisory experience.
• Licenses and Certifications: Credentialed as a Registered Sonographer in general sonography (Abdomen/OB‑Gyn); Texas license or eligibility; CPR/BLS.

Responsabilités

• Participate with the Academic Dean in strategic and academic cycle planning at college, division, program, and course levels.
• Oversee program structure, daily operations, curriculum development, and evaluation for quality learning.
• Ensure clinical affiliates remain effective and provide leadership to coordinators for student experiences.
• Teach one class per academic year and ensure instruction aligns with syllabi and policy.
• Lead ongoing program assessment, faculty development, and accreditation documentation.
