Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a Director of Diagnostic Finance to lead strategic financial management across Diagnostic Imaging and Clinical Laboratories. You will partner with executive leadership to improve financial performance, optimize resources, evaluate capital investments, and support service line growth.

The role oversees operating and capital budgets, long-range planning, and enterprise reporting while guiding a high-performing finance team.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 7 years healthcare finance; 5 years leadership in hospital finance, budgeting, or service line finance.
• Preferred: MBA or MHA; CPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual operating budget, capital budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
• Provide executive financial leadership supporting imaging and laboratories strategy, performance, and growth.
• Participate in month-end close, reporting, variance analysis, dashboards, and forecasting.
• Lead ROI analyses and business plans for major capital purchases.
• Develop financial models for new technologies, replacement, and service line growth.
• Analyze productivity, labor, reimbursement, and profitability to improve efficiency.
• Present financial performance and recommendations to executive leadership.
