Job summary

Transportation Alternatives is seeking a Director of Development to lead day-to-day fundraising, building systems, strategies, pipelines, and a strong team to meet revenue goals.

Reporting to the Managing Director and working with the Executive Director, the role translates goals into a diversified revenue plan across individuals, foundations, corporate giving, and events, with forecasting and reporting support.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of nonprofit development experience with increasing responsibility.
• Proven success in fundraising pipelines across individual, foundation, corporate, and events.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Strong forecasting and donor CRM skills (EveryAction).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to prep senior leaders for donor meetings.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Executive Director on fundraising and donor pipelines.
• Develop TA's annual fundraising plan and forecast revenue.
• Lead major gifts and individual giving initiatives.
• Oversee foundation and corporate sponsorships.
• Supervise events and donor stewardship activities.
• Lead the Development team with clear goals and accountability.
