Job summary

University of Central Florida - College of Sciences seeks a Director of Development to secure major gifts, build donor relationships, and drive COS initiatives. You will manage a portfolio, design strategies, and collaborate with leadership to advance fundraising goals.

The role requires a track record of major gift success, strong communication, and strategic donor engagement across campus partners. On-site work in Orlando with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree plus 6+ years in fundraising or related field.
Experience closing gifts of $25,000+ from individuals.
Experience in higher education fundraising or healthcare philanthropy is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects/donors through discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Design and implement fundraising strategies aligned with COS and UCF priorities.
Conduct donor visits and develop proposals to secure major gifts.
Collaborate with Dean and leadership to grow the fundraising pipeline.
Maintain CRM records, reports, and acknowledgment processes.
