Job summary

Edu-Futuro in Arlington, VA is seeking a Director of Development to lead a growing fundraising program. The role will drive strategy, manage major gifts, and supervise a Development Associate, Grant Writer, and Volunteer Coordinator.

You will partner with the Executive Director and Board to scale the annual budget from $5M toward $10M, strengthening donor relations and expanding sources of support while maintaining ethical fundraising practices.

Qualifications

• Proven track record building fundraising programs and increasing revenue.
• Experience securing five- and six-figure gifts.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Set annual development plan with clear priorities, goals, staffing, and budgets.
• Grow major gifts and donor relations, including a Circles of Empowerment program.
• Develop proposals, leadership gifts, and multiyear commitments.
• Recruit, supervise, and develop the Development Associate and Grant Writer.
• Oversee donor research, proposals, campaigns, and stewardship in DonorPerfect.
• Collaborate with leadership on communications and events to engage donors.
