Carney Sandoe & Associates, in partnership with Tampa Prep, seeks a Director of Development in Tampa, FL to lead fundraising, alumni relations, communications, and marketing for the school.

The director will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors; drive capital and endowment campaigns; oversee annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, and events; and collaborate with school leadership and volunteer committees to advance philanthropy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5–7 years of development experience in building a development program, fundraising plan, and strategic capital campaigns.
• Proven ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward leadership gifts at all levels, including seven- and eight-figure gifts.
• Ability to model professionalism and adhere to school policies.
• Excellent communication, discretion, and judgment.

Responsabilités

• Articulates strategic philanthropic vision for the School.
• Develops clear messages describing the School’s strengths and objectives.
• Designs programs to attract maximum gift support.
• Keeps Head of School and Development Committee informed of fundraising activities.
• Develops plans to increase constituent support and involvement.
• Leads a strong team environment for development staff.
• Oversees publications and printing to communicate with constituencies.
• Maintains research and action plans for donor prospects.
• Staff liaison to the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees.
• Manages relationships with Parents Alliance, Alumni Association, and Auction Committee.
• Oversees processing of gift income and giving records.
