Job summary

Veterans Community Project seeks a Director of Development to lead its local fundraising strategy and donor engagement. You will partner with leadership to grow a donor-centric program and align efforts with national philanthropy goals.

You’ll manage major gifts, grants, and campaigns, while building lasting relationships with foundations, corporations, and individual donors. This role requires collaboration across departments and a passion for serving Veterans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years in progressively responsible fundraising experience.
• Experience leading donor-centered development programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated development program.
• Lead major gift cultivation and donor relations.
• Collaborate with National Directors to align strategy and marketing.
• Oversee grants, proposals, and fundraising campaigns.
• Manage budgeting, revenue projections and goal setting.
• Supervise development staff and coordinate with city teams.
• Foster partnerships with corporations, foundations and the community.
