Job summary

VIPS is seeking a Director of Development (Fundraising) to lead the organization’s fundraising strategy across Kentucky and Indiana. You will cultivate and solicit individual and corporate donors, steward relationships, and drive revenue growth aligned with VIPS’ strategic plan.

As a senior leader, you will guide the development team, coordinate annual giving, major gifts, grants, and campaigns, and partner with marketing for campaign materials.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of development experience with a proven track record.
• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, philanthropy, and/or fund-raising or comparable field.
• Master’s degree or CFRE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements VIPS' development plan aligned with the board’s strategic plan.
• Cultivates, solicits, and stewards donors across Kentucky (and Indiana per scope) to grow revenue.
• Oversees annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, grants, marketing, and special events.
• Leads and supports fundraising staff, ensuring alignment with priorities and budget.
