Job summary

The Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA) is seeking a Development Director (or Senior Director) to support and grow the Center for Healthy Minds’ annual and major gifts program. The role partners with CHM leadership, UW–Madison donors, and WFAA colleagues to secure support and sustain CHM's mission.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, design strategies, conduct visits, and collaborate with campus partners to ensure donor-centered engagement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of professional fundraising/development experience.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop objectives, priorities and strategies for major gift development in collaboration with leadership and colleagues.
  • Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors to advance through the development process.
  • Identify and qualify major gift prospects with research support; conduct meetings and visits.
  • Plan visits, events, and ongoing contact to build donor relationships and present the case for support.
  • Plan and implement donor recognition and ongoing stewardship.
