George Mason University’s Hylton Performing Arts Center seeks a strategic Director of Development to lead fundraising and philanthropic engagement. You will design and execute a comprehensive development plan including major gifts, annual giving, alumni engagement, and corporate relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Proven success in fundraising with major gifts.
• Experience developing fundraising strategies.
• Experience managing staff and multiple projects.
• Knowledge of donor lifecycle management and DEI in donor engagement.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to align fundraising with institutional priorities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate university vehicles.

Responsabilités

• Develops and executes a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
• Manages a portfolio of 75–90 major and principal gift prospects.
• Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards donors (25,000+; 1M+).
• Leads campaign planning and coordination with University Advancement.
• Develops cases for support tied to programming, education, and engagement.
• Tracks fundraising activity and reports outcomes using CRM.
