Opera Lafayette, one of the foremost interpreters of Baroque Opera, seeks a highly qualified Director of Development to fulfill Opera Lafayette's cultivation, stewardship and contributed revenue goals. Reporting to the Managing Director and working in partnership with a dedicated board of directors, the Director of Development will establish and grow relationships at all levels with individual donors, and institutional and government funders. The successful candidate will be a strong operational manager, data-driven decision-maker, and have a demonstrable track record of successful direct solicitation. This role may work remotely however, will have regular in-person engagement with donors, donor prospects, funders and colleagues. The chosen candidate must be located within reasonable proximity to New York City and be available for regular travel to the greater Washington, DC area and other locations. Compensation: $95,000-$110,000 in addition to a generous benefits package.
