Job summary

Opera Lafayette, based in New York, seeks a Director of Development to lead cultivation, stewardship and contributed revenue efforts. You will manage donor relations, develop fundraising strategies, and work with the board and Managing Director to advance Opera Lafayette's mission.

The role may be remote with regular in-person donor engagements, requiring proximity to NYC and periodic travel to the DC area and beyond.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of direct solicitation and donor cultivation.
• Ability to build and grow relationships with individual donors, institutions and funders.
• Data-driven decision making and strong operational management.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and fundraising efforts to meet contributed revenue goals.
• Cultivate, steward and steward relationships with donors and funders at multiple levels.
• Collaborate with the Managing Director and board of directors on strategy and stewardship.
• Travel as required for donor engagement and fundraising activities.
