WNCSource is seeking a Development Director to lead fundraising growth and deepen community impact in Western North Carolina. You will shape and execute donor cultivation, grant acquisition, and strategic marketing to transform milestones into lasting support for the families we serve.

The role reports to the executive leadership team, guiding development staff and leveraging a comprehensive annual plan to secure major gifts and sustain programs that empower self-sufficiency in the community.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field with at least 3 years of management experience or a Master's degree in Business, Public Administration, Social Science, or related field.
• At least 3 years of professional fundraising and development experience.
• Demonstrated success in securing major gifts, leading campaigns, and grant proposals writing.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Fundraising: Design and execute a comprehensive annual development plan targeting individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
• Donor Cultivation & Stewardship: Build meaningful, long-term relationships with existing donors while actively prospecting new supporters.
• Grant Management: Oversee the end-to-end grant process, including research, proposal writing, compliance, and reporting.
• Marketing & Communications: Direct marketing campaigns and brand messaging to elevate organizational visibility across Western North Carolina.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor development staff, establishing clear performance metrics and fostering a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience (Either Combination):

• Option A: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, plus a minimum of 3 years of management experience.
• Option B: Master’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, Social Science, or a related field.

Core Track Record:

• At least 3 years of dedicated professional fundraising and development experience.
• Demonstrated success in securing major gifts, leading capital or annual campaigns, and writing winning grant proposals.
