Ready to build something meaningful?
Blue Ridge Health is looking for an experienced development professional excited to do more than meet fundraising goals. We are looking for someone who wants to help shape what philanthropy can make possible for communities across Western North Carolina and help increase access to the healthcare people and communities need.
As Senior Development Manager, you will have the opportunity to grow a comprehensive fundraising program, deepen relationships with donors and community partners, and play a key role in future capital campaign efforts. You will help tell the story of Blue Ridge Health’s impact and connect people who want to invest in stronger, healthier communities with opportunities to do exactly that.
This newly created leadership position offers the right person a distinct opportunity to shape the future of philanthropy at Blue Ridge Health. You won’t simply step into someone else’s playbook; you will bring your own experience and ideas to strengthen what works, build what’s needed, and help define how we engage donors and philanthropic partners for years to come.
You will join us at a time of significant growth and possibility, with opportunities to help lead future capital initiatives, expand major giving, and share the impact of Blue Ridge Health across Western North Carolina.
People come to Blue Ridge Health because they believe in the work. They build careers here because the organization believes in its people, too.
As one of the largest employers in the region, our work reaches communities across a 10-county region of Western North Carolina, where our teams provide compassionate, affordable, high-quality care and help strengthen the healthcare infrastructure our communities depend on. We take tremendous pride in what we do, the collaborative partnerships we have, and the impact our employees make every day.
We also take work-life balance seriously. Staff may be eligible to work 32 hours per week while receiving full-time pay based on 40 hours, and earn generous paid time off and personal days. Blue Ridge Health also recognizes nine paid holidays each year.
We invest in the people who make our mission possible through competitive compensation, opportunities for annual performance-based pay increases, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer contributions.
Blue Ridge Health attracts talented people with a wide range of experiences, perspectives, and expertise who share something important: a desire to do work that matters.
We’re looking for an experienced development professional who understands that successful fundraising begins with relationships. You’re comfortable building relationships with donors, listening for what matters to them, and connecting their interests with meaningful opportunities for impact.
You bring experience in major gifts and donor cultivation, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to move comfortably between big-picture strategy and the details required to execute it.
CFRE certification and experience working in healthcare or another mission-driven organization are valued. Experience with Blackbaud fundraising software is a plus.
Salary Range: $80,000–$90,000 per year
