Job summary

SupplyHouse.com is seeking a Director of Demand and Inventory Planning to lead our end-to-end inventory planning function, spanning demand forecasting, replenishment, and allocation across the fulfillment network. You will partner with Merchandising, Finance, and Operations to align demand with financial goals and drive profitability.

This remote, full-time role requires about 20% travel, including visits to our headquarters in Melville, NY, and occasional on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or related field.
• MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, inventory planning, or supply chain.
• Experience in e-commerce, wholesale distribution, and multi-site distribution environments.
• Experience managing inventory decisions in a model that blends owned inventory with marketplace or drop-ship assortment.
• Experience with forecasting, replenishment, ERP, and planning systems, and with S&OP processes including machine learning and AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead our inventory strategy, including SKU segmentation, service level targets, and stocking policy by fulfillment center.
• Build the framework for SKU governance, including how new items are introduced and how unproductive inventory is identified and exited.
• Define criteria for ownership of SKUs vs marketplace or third-party fulfillment to balance speed, margin, and investment.
• Own the long-term inventory planning roadmap across process, systems, and operating model.
• Combine historical data, system-driven forecasting, and merchant input into a single SKU-level demand signal.
• Account for seasonality, promotions, product lifecycle, and regional demand patterns.
