Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation seeks a Director of Data Security to lead governance of data security capabilities across enterprise environments. You will ensure data is identified, classified, protected, and monitored in line with business objectives and regulatory needs.

Collaborating with Technology, Legal, Privacy, and Compliance leaders, you will drive risk reduction, prioritize security investments, and supervise budgets and resources to support enterprise data security initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, or related field with 10+ years in Information Security/Data Security.
• At least 5 years of leadership or people-management experience.
• Deep understanding of data protection, DLP, data classification, and data integrity concepts.
• Experience with data security controls across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Ability to oversee budgets and allocate resources for enterprise data security.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise governance and leadership of data security capabilities.
• Identify, classify, protect, and monitor sensitive data across the enterprise.
• Partner with Technology, Legal, Privacy, Compliance and business leaders to reduce data-centric risk.
• Align data security investments with regulatory obligations and risk reduction.
• Oversee data security programs including DLP, classification, and data integrity controls.
