Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation seeks an enterprise data security leader to govern data protection capabilities across the organization. The role drives identification, classification, protection, and monitoring of data aligned with business needs, laws, and threats.

You will shepherd Data Loss Prevention and data integrity controls across both on-premises and cloud environments, collaborating with Technology, Legal, Privacy, and Compliance to reduce risk while enabling secure data use at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, or related field and 10 years of experience in Information Security, Data Security, or related disciplines, or14 years equivalent experience 5 years of leadership or people-management experience
• Deep understanding of data protection, Data Loss Prevention, data classification, and data integrity concepts
• Knowledge of data security controls across on-premises and cloud environments
• Oversee budgets and resource allocation supporting enterprise data security objectives
• Translate data security risk into business-relevant priorities and decisions
• Ensure data security investments align to risk reduction and regulatory obligations

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data security governance and collaborate with Technology, Legal, Privacy, Compliance and business leaders to reduce data-centric risk while enabling secure data usage at scale.
• Oversee Data Loss Prevention, data classification, and data integrity controls across on-premises and cloud environments
• Translate data security risk into business-relevant priorities and decisions
• Manage budgets and allocate resources to support enterprise data security objectives
