Job summary
MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas seeks a Director of Data Operations to lead the health, performance, and continuous improvement of our data platforms. Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in data operations, data engineering, or IT platform management
- 3+ years in leadership or director-level capacity
- Strong cloud data architecture experience (Azure preferred) and Databricks
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary escalation point for high-priority operational incidents
- Lead post-incident reviews and RCA to identify systemic problems
- Define and monitor operational KPIs for system stability and recovery times
- Translate technical issues for business leaders and non-technical stakeholders
- Coordinate cross-functional communication during critical operational windows
- Drive continuous process improvements to boost productivity and reduce manual overhead
- Implement automation to build scalable, resilient data infrastructure
- Decommission legacy systems with seamless transitions to modern platforms
- Lead data operations team and partner with governance for data quality and security
