Job summary

Algiers Charter School Association is seeking a Director of Data to oversee data governance, collection and reporting across student information systems and state datasets. You will develop IGPs, establish a robust reporting calendar, and partner with the CEO and performance teams to drive data-informed decisions.

The role requires leading a data team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reports, and aligning analytics with school improvement goals in a New Orleans setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of technology, operations, project management or consulting experience.
• Power School, State reporting Databases, FTP, Excel and PPT proficiency required.
• Experience in K-12 public education preferred.
• Knowledge of school-facing technologies preferred.
• Demonstrated history of managing teams to achieve high performance targets and building strong stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop data structures and IGPs for each student.
• Lead a team of direct and indirect reports to ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Identify key strategic data reporting and analyses for the Chief Academic Officer.
• Develop baseline reporting/fact base including key statistics and demographics.
• Collaborate with instructional and operational leaders to integrate data findings into training and recruitment.
• Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure accurate data collection and definitions.
• Maintain alignment of data definitions and metrics across the organization.
