Job summary

Charter School Growth Fund (CSGF) is seeking a Director of Applied Analytics to lead analytical workstreams for a portfolio of internal teams and shape how data drives decisions across the organization. This senior role blends hands-on analytics with strategic leadership, partnering with the VP, Analytics to codify norms, scope, and workflows.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical skill with strong stakeholder influence and mentorship.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in data science, statistics, public policy, or related field a plus.
10+ years of relevant analytics experience; track record in strategy and cross-functional analytics.
Experience translating complex data into strategic insights for senior leadership.
Experience working in education, nonprofit, or social-impact contexts preferred.

Responsibilities

Own key analytical workstreams for a portfolio of internal teams and drive analytics strategy across business units.
Develop scalable approaches to analytics, partnering with VP, Analytics to mature function norms and workflows.
Lead AI strategy for analytics in coordination with Data Products & Engineering.
Manage ad hoc analyses, rapid prototyping, and data storytelling for non-technical audiences.
Ensure data quality, define requirements, and build self-service tools for stakeholder teams.
Coach and mentor team members, influence peers and senior leaders through clear communication.
