Job summary

The Denver Broncos Football Club and Stadium Management Company is seeking a Director of IT Security to lead the strategy, growth, and oversight of the cybersecurity program. This role partners with stakeholders to enable security as an enabler of the organization’s mission in a football-first culture.

Responsibilities include establishing a multi-year cybersecurity roadmap, governance, incident response, and technical oversight of security tools and cloud controls.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity roles.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams, vendors, or enterprise security programs
• Experience building or transforming a cybersecurity program in a complex organization
• Experience leading incident response, vulnerability management, IAM, security operations, and risk management initiatives
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, governance practices, and control standards
• Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience supporting Windows, Mac, Linux, cloud, OT, IoT, and SaaS environments

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead a comprehensive cybersecurity program with a multi-year roadmap and governance.
• Conduct risk assessments, third-party reviews, and audits aligned with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and other standards.
• Oversee incident response planning, playbooks, tabletop exercises, and post-incident reviews.
• Oversee deployment of security tools (EDR, firewalls, IAM, MFA, cloud controls).
• Provide strategic oversight of security technologies such as SIEM, MFA, PAM, vulnerability management, and cloud security controls.
• Partner with Technology and business leaders to embed scalable security controls across the organization.
• Translate risk into business terms and provide executive reporting on posture and KPIs.
• Oversee due diligence and risk management for third-party vendors and partners.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resilience for events and operations.
• Build and mentor a high-performing security team.
