Job summary

Welch Equipment Company in Denver, Colorado, seeks an Information Security Administrator to develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s cybersecurity program, acting as the security champion across IT, business leaders, vendors, and partners.

You will administer Defender and Purview, coordinate audits, perform risk assessments, oversee incident response, and drive continuous improvement of the company’s security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity or related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
• 7+ years of related cybersecurity, information security, governance, risk, compliance, or security operations.
• Experience developing information security policies, supporting audits, and remediation programs.
• Direct experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, KnowBe4, Secureworks Taegis or Sophos MDR/XDR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, communicate, and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Lead and support compliance initiatives and risk assessments.
• Coordinate internal and external security audits and maintain evidence and records.
• Lead migration of non-compliant systems toward approved configurations.
• Coordinate third-party security reviews and support business continuity planning.
• Review, triage, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents.
• Administer security tools and playbooks to improve detection and response.
• Monitor dashboards, identify trends, and reduce coverage gaps.
