Job summary

Hut 8 is seeking a Partner, Cyber Security to define and lead the company’s entire security program. This role oversees strategy, architecture, governance, and an in-house Security Operations capability across IT, data centers, cloud, and AI/compute environments.

You will build a defense-in-depth framework, manage budgets and vendors, and drive a security-aware culture across a multi-site workforce in a public company setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity with leadership experience.
• Bachelor's in CS or related field; security certifications preferred.
• Experience with SOC 2, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, SOX ITGC, and PCI.
• Proven delivery of enterprise security programs (SIEM/SOC, EDR, vulnerability management).

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end cybersecurity strategy and governance.
• Build and lead the Security Operations capability.
• Manage security vendor ecosystem and budget.
• Lead incident response and breach management end to end.
• Partner with IT, Networking, Data, and AI leaders to secure lifecycle.
• Recruit and grow the internal security team.
