Job summary

Elevance Health seeks a Director I Cybersecurity to lead threat intelligence, detection engineering, and phishing resiliency. You will translate external threats into measurable risk reductions and improve detection coverage across the enterprise.

The role emphasizes building and mentoring a multi-disciplinary team, driving risk-based prioritization, and collaborating with privacy, legal, and law enforcement partners. Hybrid in-office work is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS in IT, CS or related field and at least 7 years of IT management experience.
• Experience leading CTI, detection engineering, or security operations teams (5+ years) preferred.
• Deep familiarity with SOC technologies and adversary emulation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise CTI program strategy and operating model.
• Oversee adversary TTP analysis, threat actor profiles, and emerging threats.
• Set strategy for Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting and Detection Engineering with AI & Automation.
• Own the detection engineering lifecycle from hypothesis to deployment and deprecation.
• Map detections to MITRE ATT&CK and other frameworks for robust coverage.
• Drive purple and red team exercises with the Attack Surface management & red teams.
• Integrate automation and AI capabilities with the AI SOC.
• Establish team OKRs aligned to business risk and industry frameworks.
• Govern adoption of AI-driven investigation/response with human-in-the-loop controls.
• Communicate threats and trends to executives via briefs.
