Elevance Health is seeking a Data Scientist focused on cybersecurity to shape enterprise security architecture, develop data-driven detection models, and lead threat hunting initiatives. The role requires expertise in security risk management, ML techniques, and collaboration with partners across IT and security teams.

The ideal candidate will design and implement secure data pipelines, contribute to incident response plans, and drive improvements in security analytics and threat discovery.

Qualifications

• Requires BS/BA in information Technology or related field and 8+ years in security, systems administration, access management, and network security.

Responsibilities

• Lead system and network architecture support for information and network security technologies.
• Develop and execute risk assessment methodologies aligned with business and regulatory needs.
• Provide technical escalation and resolution for complex security problems.
• Design and engineer access management and network security solutions based on standards.
• Develop and maintain data science models, detection analytics, and behavioral algorithms for cybersecurity use cases.
• Perform proactive threat hunting using large-scale telemetry, logs, and datasets.
• Design statistical, machine learning, and predictive models to identify suspicious activity.
• Lead strategies for discovery, evaluation, and response to emerging cyber threats.
