Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Director of Critical Care to oversee the Cardiac ICU, Medical ICU, Neuro ICU, Surgical Trauma ICU, and progressive care units. Lead Respiratory Therapy and Rapid Response.

The role requires a BSN, an active Ohio RN license, and a Master’s in Nursing or related field; prior ICU leadership experience is preferred. You will collaborate with physicians to drive patient-centered care and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Business or related field required.
• Prior ICU nursing and/or leadership experience preferred.
• Prior director experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive evidence-based/best practice.
• Collaborate with physicians/surgeons/pulmonologists for cardiac, medical and surgical care services.
• Develop and support nursing services leadership.
• Oversee all Intensive Care Units.
• Develop strategy and implementation plan for positive patient experience and colleague engagement.
• Operationalize organizational initiatives and present to front line.
• Succession planning.
• Ensure efficient operation within productivity measures while staying current with changing dynamics.
• Align with system leadership to develop strong working relationships.
• Work with senior leadership.
