Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, OH seeks a Nurse Manager for the Open Heart Intensive Care Unit. You will lead the unit, supervise staff, coordinate care, and ensure alignment with hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN or Master's in Healthcare related field or MBA with Health related focus.
• Licensure/Certification: Active RN license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• Experience: Minimum of two years' recent clinical experience in open heart units.

Responsibilities

• Provides coaching, direction, and supervision of the unit with 24-hour accountability for operations; recruits, develops, counsels, evaluates and retains staff within HR policies.
• Directs department education/training to promote professional competence and growth and acts as a clinical resource.
• Manages budgets for designated area; monitors labor, supplies, equipment, and cost containment.
• Oversees quality monitoring to optimize outcomes, regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
• Develops departmental standards and protocols; participates in rounds and collaboration with physicians and staff.

Education
