Job summary

Valley Cities is seeking a Director of Continuous Quality Improvement to lead CQI across outpatient, residential, and community programs in Washington state. The role emphasizes data-driven improvement, regulatory compliance, and advancing the CCBHC certification process.

As a member of the leadership team, you will design the CQI plan, develop dashboards, coach program leaders, and partner with Compliance, IT, BI, and HR to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public health, health administration, behavioral health, nursing, or social work.
• Five or more years of quality improvement or compliance experience in behavioral health or related settings.
• Two or more years of supervisory or program leadership experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of CQI methodologies (PDSA, Lean, root cause analysis) and healthcare quality measurement.
• Working knowledge of Medicaid, managed care, and WA licensing requirements in behavioral health.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and annually update the agency-wide CQI Plan.
• Chair CQI Committee and report outcomes to executive leadership and the Board.
• Lead improvement initiatives using Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles and root cause analysis.
• Establish, monitor, and report KPIs for access, engagement, outcomes, safety, and experience across sites.
• Oversee client satisfaction and experience-of-care surveys and feedback integration.
• Coordinate accreditation readiness and corrective action plans (The Joint Commission/CARF).
• Collaborate with Compliance, IT, BI, Analytics, and HR to embed a culture of improvement.
