Job summary

Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care seeks a Director of Continuous Quality Improvement to lead agency-wide CQI, performance measurement, and outcomes management across all programs. This role designs and maintains the CQI plan, drives data-driven improvements, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and payer requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public health, health administration, behavioral health, nursing, social work, or related field; or equivalent.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in quality improvement, performance measurement, or compliance within a behavioral health, healthcare, or community-based human services setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and annually update the agency-wide Continuous Quality Improvement Plan, aligning with mission and regulatory requirements.
• Chair and provide staff leadership to the agency CQI Committee and report outcomes to executive leadership and the Board.
• Lead structured improvement initiatives using CQI methodologies across clinical and administrative operations.
• Establish, monitor, and report KPIs for access, engagement, outcomes, safety, and operations across all sites.
• Oversee client satisfaction surveys, grievance trend analysis, and incorporation of client voice into improvements.
• Coordinate accreditation readiness activities and corrective action plans with Joint Commission or CARF.
• Collaborate with Compliance on incident trends and follow-up actions.
• Develop dashboards and reporting infrastructure with BI, IT, and analytics teams.
• Provide training on quality improvement, data literacy, and outcome measurement.
• Ensure CCBHC QA requirements and reporting meet SAMHSA and WA state expectations.
• Oversee data collection, validation, and submission of required CCBHC quality measures.
• Participate in CCBHC implementation team for readiness and recertification processes.

Education

Master's degree in public health, health administration, behavioral health, nursing, social work, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
