The Texas Department of Banking seeks a Director of Corporate Activities to oversee depository and non-depository charter and license applications, including mergers, changes of home office, and renewals. The role supervises staff, guides process improvements, and interfaces with executives on high-level regulatory matters.

This senior management position requires strong knowledge of banking laws, strategic oversight, and the ability to coordinate cross-divisional work while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, law (LLB/JD) or related field.
• Seven to ten years progressively responsible experience in regulation, examination, and analysis of financial institutions or related legal industry experience.
• Three years’ current experience in management and supervision.

Responsabilités

• Reviews, processes, and makes recommendations to the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners concerning applications and filings.
• Oversees filings of corporate documents.
• Represents the Department at meetings with executive offices and Board of Directors and other stakeholders.
• Develops and implements procedures and ensures processing deadlines are met.
• Supervises division staff and coordinates with other divisions as needed.
