Job summary

Slate is seeking a Head of Facilities to lead strategic oversight of all corporate office facilities, including the HQ in Troy, MI and satellite offices nationwide. The role ensures safety, compliance, and a professional environment that reflects the Slate brand.

You will direct daily operations, manage building systems, lead a facilities team, oversee capital projects, negotiate vendor contracts, and partner with HR and Finance on headcount, space planning, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience considered with minimum of 10 years.
• Experience managing corporate office environments; automotive or manufacturing-adjacent industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, lease administration, vendor management and compliance.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed facilities portfolios and coordinating with HR/Finance.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day operations of all corporate and satellite office facilities across locations.
• Oversee building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, security) for safety and compliance.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Lead vendor contracts, SLAs, and cost-control initiatives across sites.
• Plan sites for future expansion, space programming and lease review.
• Manage capital projects, budgets, timelines, and cross-functional stakeholders.
