Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Director of Corporate Coding to lead enterprise-wide CPT coding strategy, compliance, and operations across clinical laboratory, anatomic pathology, and molecular diagnostics. The role requires deep technical lab expertise and strong management experience to guide coding teams and ensure regulatory compliance.

The position is hybrid with three in-office days at Burlington or Durham, NC, and two remote days per week, with occasional onsite leadership sessions and <10% travel. You will partner with lab leadership, revenue cycle, and payer policy teams to drive accuracy and optimize reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a scientific discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years leading coding, lab, or revenue cycle teams.
• 8+ years experience in healthcare coding, laboratory operations, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred in Healthcare Admin, MBA, or related field

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate coding strategy and governance across laboratory, pathology, and molecular diagnostic services.
• Develop, implement, and maintain coding policies, procedures, governance standards, and QA programs.
• Provide strategic guidance on CPT, HCPCS, PLA, and related coding issues impacting reimbursement and compliance.
• Drive workflow optimization and standardization across coding operations.
• Represent the organization in industry forums and payer policy discussions to advance coding standards.
