Job summary

CBG Surveying Texas, LLC is seeking a Manager/Director of Construction Surveying & Operations to lead the development, growth, and long-term success of our Construction Surveying Division.

The role requires proven leadership, 10+ years in construction surveying, 5+ years of management experience, and the ability to recruit, mentor, and build scalable processes, SOPs, and client relationships. This is not a Senior Surveyor or Party Chief position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geomatics, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive construction surveying or surveying experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven management experience leading, developing, coaching, and managing high-performing teams.
• Demonstrated success recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and developing employees.
• Experience managing multiple survey crews, office staff, and complex construction surveying projects.
• Strong estimating, project pricing, budgeting, and financial management experience.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS/RPLS) license preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead CBG's Construction Surveying Division from the ground up.
• Develop project execution strategies, staffing plans, and surveying methodologies.
• Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of construction surveying professionals.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Establish scalable systems that support long-term growth and profitability.
• Oversee all technical aspects of construction surveying projects from planning through completion.
