Job summary

Panthera Grid Partners in Houston, TX, seeks a Director of Construction to lead pre-construction through project completion for utility-scale solar, wind, and battery storage assets. You will oversee cross-functional teams, manage EPC contracting, schedules, budgets, risk, and safety, and work closely with procurement, engineering, and project development to optimize designs and execution.

Qualifications

5+ years in utility scale solar PV and 8+ years in construction or related field.
Experience leading cross-functional project teams across pre-construction and construction.
Strong understanding of EPC contracts, schedules and budgeting.
Proven ability to manage risk and contractor performance.

Responsibilities

Lead integrated project teams from pre-construction through final completion of solar, wind and battery storage projects.
Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Project Development, and Business Development to ensure seamless transitions between phases.
Develop construction schedules and budgets, monitor progress and EPC costs.
Oversee design optimization for offtake commercialization and RFP stages.
Coach and mentor project management professionals and manage contractor safety.
