Job summary

RHF, a mission-driven housing foundation, seeks a Director of Construction to provide strategic leadership across our construction, rehabilitation, and capital improvement portfolio. You will guide budgets, schedules, safety, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder communication while driving project delivery from pre-development through closeout.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible construction management experience, including 5 years in leadership.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects from pre-development through turnover.
• Experience with contract administration, scheduling, budgets, and financial management.
• Leadership of multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for RHF's construction and rehabilitation portfolio.
• Direct, develop, and mentor Construction Managers and staff.
• Oversee pre-development activities, budgets, schedules, and permitting.
• Manage construction quality, safety, budgets, and contractor performance.
• Review contracts, manage risks, and resolve project issues.
• Develop and monitor construction budgets and forecasts; partner with Finance and Development.
• Establish project schedules and reporting; implement corrective plans as needed.
• Promote safety and regulatory compliance across the portfolio.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and external partners to deliver projects.
