Job summary

AbbVie’s MPDD organization is seeking a visionary leader to head a global computational chemistry team of 10–12 scientists and matrixed leadership across SM CMC and Development Sciences. This role reports to the Global Head of MPDD and collaborates with Discovery Research, Development Sciences, and Information Research to cocreate a forward-looking strategy for AI-enabled drug discovery and development.

• PhD or MSc/BS with extensive leadership of scientific research teams.
• Proven track record of high-impact scientific achievement and cross-functional collaboration.

• Align strategies with Development and Discovery leaders to drive Computational Sciences.
• Lead cross-functional teams and external collaborations to accelerate discovery.
• Oversee project intake, capacity planning, and portfolio alignment.
